Australasian Catalogue Awards open

CatalogueThe Australasian Catalogue Association (ACA) is seeking nominations for its 24th annual awards night.

Major awards at this year’s Australasian Catalogue Awards include Best Young Designer, Best Young Talent, and the coveted Catalogue Retailer of the Year.

There are more than 40 awards across 10 categories including, Home, Fashion, Cosmetics and Pharmacy, Recreation and Leisure, B2C, Retailers, Integrated Campaigns, as well as the introduction of new categories, Sustainability and Excellence in Craft.

The Cosmetics and Pharmacy category was launched in 2014 and is made up of four awards – Cosmetics, General Pharmacy, Health and Wellbeing, and Skincare and Miscellaneous.

The Retailers category is spread across supermarkets, liquor, chain/department stores, specialty, shopping centres, magalogues, campaigns, and online.

Kellie Northwood, executive director at the ACA, said the annual awards provided an opportunity for retailers, marketers, and creative designers to celebrate the innovation, diversity, and success of catalogues.

“Catalogue marketing is a highly effective media and the awards give agencies and clients the chance to have their strategies, concepts, creative, design, and styling recognised,”Northwood  said.

The awards night will be held at Crown Palladium on Friday, August 21.

Judging in Sydney will take place from June 18 to 20 and in Melbourne from June 23 to 27.

Award entries close on Monday, June 1.
