Marion’s Kitchen heads to the US

unnamed-2Australian cook and former Masterchef contestant, Marion Grasby, is taking her cooking kit range, Marion’s Kitchen, to the US, where it will be stocked in major grocery chains including Kroger and Target.

Started in 2010, Marion’s Kitchen is a Thai-inspired food range with packs including Pad Thai, Singapore Laksa, San Choy Bow, and Thai Green Curry.

In the US, the range is expected to rollout to 5000 stores by July 2015. Locally, Marion’s Kitchen sells more than 150,000 kits per month and is stocked in the Asian section of supermarkets including Woolworths, Coles, and IGA.

The company says the successful expansion into US territory represents the product of over a year of market research, FDA approvals, and sales meetings.

Currently, the home cooking range is cultivated and sourced from Thailand, where Grasby is now based, to maintain a close relationship with all suppliers.
