Quickflix in retail tie up

quickflixAustralian online movie and DVD streaming company, Quickflix, has partnered with global prepaid and payments network, Blackhawk Network, to launch pre-paid gift cards for first time.

As part of the agreement Quickflix gift cards will be retailed nationally through major chains including Woolworths, Big W, Officeworks, and Australia Post, reaching more than 4000 stores in Australia.

Launching in April, the gift cards are redeemable across Quickflix’s range of entertainment offerings including subscription and premium transactional streaming and subscription DVD, and will be denominations of $20 and $50.

Stephen Langsford, CEO of Quickflix, said the company’s focus this year is on increased distribution.

“Our agreement with Blackhawk means national retailers will now serve as a major new channel for customer acquisition alongside our existing online device and affiliate partner channels,” Langsford said.
