Herbert Adams’ new gourmet range

unnamedHerbert Adams has upgraded its new gourmet chicken pie range to use chicken supplied from RSPCA approved farms.

The gourmet chicken pie range includes Chicken and Leek and Chicken and Chorizo.

“While the Chicken and Leek is a much loved traditional flavour, the new Chicken and Chorizo has a deliciously spicy, contemporary touch,” Sue Clohesy, senior brand manager, Herbert Adams, said.

“We know our consumers choose Herbert Adams because they are passionate about the quality of ingredients we use.  So the added assurance that all our Australian grown chicken now comes from RSPCA approved farms, like Freedom Farms, should be good news for consumers,”  Clohesy said.

Heather Neil, CEO of RSPCA Australia, said the RSPCA is continuing to see an increase in consumer interest in the welfare of animals farmed for food and congratulated Herbert Adams for its commitment to source RSPCA approved chicken.

“Aussies love a pie and we’re very excited they can now make a higher welfare choice at the supermarket,” said Neil.

The new flavours will be available in the frozen savoury section of Woolworths and selected independents nationally from April while the Herbert Adams Chicken and Leek will also be available in Coles supermarkets.
