DairyNZ appoints new GM

10403363_813621378672496_3911376559922953883_nDairyNZ has appointed Andrew Reid as its new GM of extension, the role that leads the industry body’s regional consulting officer teams.

Reid was previously GM of sales with Ballance Agri-Nutrients, leading a field team of 120. He has also worked as a consultant for Agriculture New Zealand.

Tim Mackle, CEO of DairyNZ, said Reid  will be a great addition to his senior leadership team.

“This is a very important role for our organisation as our regional teams connect every day directly to farmers across the country through leading our events, focus farms, and discussion groups. Andrew is very passionate about the opportunity to help dairy farmers with their challenges and opportunities and he has extensive experience in coaching teams. I’m delighted he’s coming on board,” Mackle said.

Reid will start in the position on May 4.
