Lean Cuisine has launched a new premium range of pre-prepared meals, with the company seeking to tap into consumer demand for convenience, while also acquiescing to growing health concerns.
The Steam Whole Grain range has been developed in three flavours, with specific focus on quinoa, rice, and couscous as the staple ingredients.
Customers can opt between Moroccan Chicken with Couscous & Lentils, Mexican Chicken with Brown Rice & Quinoa and Chicken , or Chickpea Curry with Brown Rice & Quinoa, with all selections delivering a health rating of four stars.
“It’s a common misconception between consumers that frozen meals can’t deliver on being both tasty and nutritious, as well as convenient. We know that in today’s busy world people want to taste it all without any compromises, and Lean Cuisine’s delicious Steam Whole Grains range is doing just that,” Sam Laycock, GM, frozen meal, potato and vegetables at Simplot, said.
A full advertising campaign will be launched in order to support the launch from this month.
The range is available in Woolworths and independent supermarkets now, and Coles supermarkets from June 15 2015.
Each packet retails at $6.69 for a 350g serving.
