Work on DHL Supply Chain’s warehouse begins

Saul Resnick and Terry Ryan- DHLWork has commenced on DHL Supply Chain’s two new warehouse facilities in Horsley Park in Western Sydney.

Totalling 58,225sqm and expanding on four existing facilities within Oakdale Industrial Estate, the development will allow DHL to service increased customer growth in consumer, retail and healthcare industries.

On completion in May 2016, the new sites will take DHL’s Western Sydney Campus footprint to 148,000sqm, representing a total investment of $200 million.

The development, undertaken by Goodman, will also include the regional construction of Old Wallgrove Road which comprises four lanes of separated carriageways and will improve access for DHL and future customers.

Saul Resnick, MD of DHL Supply Chain Australia 9 (pictured, right, onsite with Terry Ryan, CEO, DHL Supply Chain Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea), said the new facilities will support Western Sydney’s rampant growth.

“Western Sydney is fast becoming an important hub for logistics,” Resnick said. “With over 58,000 square meters of new warehousing, over 22,000 square meters of which will be temperature controlled, we are in a strong position to grow our client base in some of the most state-of-the-art facilities in the country.”
