Seal of excellence for Frosty Boy

Frosty BoyFrozen dessert and beverage manufacturer, Frosty Boy Australia, has this week received an Excellent rating in its Safe Quality Food (SQF) audit.

The independent assessment, carried out by the Safe Quality of Food Institute, provides certification that manufacturers are complying with food and safety regulations in both domestic and international markets.

The rating was acquired by Frosty Boy’s new facility in Yatala, Queensland, and covers all its products including dairy powders, creams, beverages, bases, gelato, jellies, and soft serve.

The company attributes its recent investment in the purpose built manufacturing facility, as well as prioritising the safety of food, to the positive feedback.

“Each and every team member is inducted in, understands the importance of food safety and takes responsibility to ensure the highest level of care is taken in production,” Andrea Thomson, QA manager, Frosty Boy, said.

This is the first year SQF has introduced an unannounced audit program designed to ensure sites are “audit-ready” at all times.

Once every three years a site audit will be conducted without an appointment.
