Obela, AFL pair up

Screen Shot 2015-08-12 at 4.21.24 PMHommus dip company, Obela, has paired with the AFL to create an online cooking series featuring a host of football players experimenting in their own kitchens.

The Obela In the Kitchen series, released weekly over the remainder of the AFL season, consists of six episodes and offers insight into the way that football players approach food, life, and family.

Players involved in the online entertainment offering include Sydney’s Josh Kennedy, Collingwood’s Travis Cloke, and  Carlton’s Marc Murphy, who are challenged to put their cooking skills to the test.

The condiment company cites the interplay between food and entertainment as the benchmark for this partnering.

“Entertaining and celebrating are core elements of the AFL experience, whether it’s at home or at the game, which is why we’re so excited to be an official partner of the AFL again in 2015,” Adam Singles, marketing manager, Obela, said.

“The Obela In The Kitchen Series shows another side to these AFL stars, while revealing some hidden skills we won’t see on the field, and we’re hoping it will inspire other guys to get in the kitchen and experiment as well.”
