First announced in June, the nationwide rollout comes after the success of a 50-store trial across Texas in September last year, which was then extended in March 2015 to 1500 Walmart stores across the country.
As individual Walmart stores come online, regular store location updates and mapping guidance will be provided at yowieworld.com.
Yowie products will be positioned within Walmart stores in prime locations for impulse purchases near ‘assisted’ and ‘speedy’ check outs.
A new key account team has been recruited to service the Walmart account, supported by a third party national merchandising team.
“A national rollout in a market the size of the US is a lengthy process and successful execution and quality servicing of the Walmart account remains a priority focus for the Yowie North American Team,” the company said in a statement.
In April the Yowie Group also completed a 12 store trial in a tier 1 grocery chain in Dubai.
