Nut harvester, Macfarms, has launched a range of ‘Easy Open’ macadamias for the Australian market.
Inspired by the booming trend in China, each nut has a groove in its shell which consumers can crack by inserting a metal key provided in the pack, and leveraging upwards.
Grown and harvested locally, the ‘Easy Open Macadamias’ are rich in monosaturated fats and fibre; as well as antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals containing high levels iron, and magnesium.
Available in a 350g stand-up resealable pouch, the range retails at $9.99 a pack, and can be found for a limited seasonal release in the fresh produce section of Coles supermarkets until December.
