TWE appoints new CFO

rsz_treasury-wine-estates_1Treasury Wine Estates has announced the appointment of Noel Meehan as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

He replaces outgoing CFO, Tony Reeves, who after several years with the company, has decided that the time is now right to transition out of his role.

Meehan’s experience includes holding the CFO position at commercial explosive company, Orica Limited, as well as  a number of senior finance and management roles at Qantas.

The news comes as TWE recently announced plans to expand its portfolio through the acquisition of Diageo’s UK and US wine business.

“With the acquisition of Diageo’s UK and UK wine business due to be integrated into TWE with effect from 1 January 2016, it is the perfect time for a new CFO to help advance the next stage of the company’s growth and development,” Michael Clarke, chief executive, TWE, said.

Meehan will join the company on 1 December prior to formally taking up his position with effect from 1 January 2016.
