Fresh produce marketer and distributor, Freshmax Group, has announced the appointment of Peter Ellis as company CEO
Ellis, who has been acting chairman and acting CEO of the company for the past four months, has a wealth of experience in agriculture, horticulture, and the food sector.
The appointment comes following a year of operational expansion for the company, who has been integrating recent acquisitions including Valleyfresh, Murrawee Farms, and Crasborn Bros.
David Smith, chairman, Freshmax, confirmed that all business lines and subsidiaries will report through to Ellis. This includes the recently appointed Dan Reeves, CEO of Australian Operations (Freshmax Australia, De Luca Banana Marketing and Freshmax Farms) and the Valleyfresh Group CEO, Murray McCallum.
Ellis will commence his new position as Group CEO with immediate effect.
