Coles recalls products

Supermarket giant, Coles, has issued  a recall on two Coles Brand milk products sold in Western Australia.

The products are Coles Brand Western Australian Fresh Hilo Milk 98% fat free 1L carton with a USE BY 06 Feb 16, and Coles Brand Western Australian Fresh Full Cream Milk carton 1L with a USE BY 06 Feb 16.

The recall is due to detection of microbial contamination, specifically coliforms, by the manufacturer.

Food products contaminated with coliforms may cause illness if consumed.

Customers can return the products to Coles supermarkets for a full refund, and the company suggests  for concerned customers to seek medical advice.

No other date codes of the products are effected.
