Ocean Spray has expanded its range with the new Ocean Spray low sugar cran-pomegranate fruit drink.
The low sugar range was specially developed for the Australian and New Zealand market. In 2015, it was the best-selling item launched in the grocery ambient juice/drink category in terms of dollar value sales, unit sales and volume sales.
Like its predecessors (cranberry and cranberry-mango), the new cranberry-pomegranate flavour is created with the natural sweetness of stevia and has only 10 calories per serving.
“After an overwhelmingly positive response to the launch of our Ocean Spray low sugar fruit drink range last year, we are delighted to offer a delicious new variation blending cranberry and pomegranate. Crafted with our Australian and New Zealand customers in mind, the range is exclusive to our corner of the world,” said Elissa Booth, Ocean Spray International Services, marketing director, Asia-Pacific.
“Ocean Spray is committed to offering Aussies and Kiwis a range of cranberry foods and beverages to meet their particular diet and lifestyle needs, including low-sugar options,” added Booth.
“In 2015, we launched the new Ocean Spray low sugar fruit drink line following the launch of Ocean Spray reduced sugar craisins dried cranberries with 50 per cent less sugar the prior year, and both new product lines have been incredibly well received by consumers.”
Ocean Spray low sugar cran-pomegranate fruit drink will be available nationwide in Coles and Woolworths stores from June 2016, and in later in 2016 in New Zealand.
