Munchkin grass-fed formula released

grassfedAussie parents are set to receive new formula made from milk produced only by 100 per cent grass-fed cows.

Munchkin grass-fed cows are raised in New Zealand, one of the few places in the world that has a temperate climate where cows can graze on pasture 365 days per year.

Each Munchkin dairy cow is milked a maximum of two times every 24 hours and produce milk that is certified to be GMO free, grain free and rBGH free. All farmers who signed up to Munchkin’s 100 per cent grass-fed program receive a premium.

Munchkin regional sales manager, Gary Hunter said, “Most parents aren’t aware that formulas are typically made up of 65 per cent milk or milk by-products, and therefore the quality of the milk is of paramount importance. Keeping our New Zealand cows on strict grain free diets of 100 per cent grass and forage ensures that only the best milk goes into our grass-fed formula.”

Munchkin grass fed formula is designed for parents who choose to bottle feed or supplement their feed during the baby’s early years. The three variants include infant or birth to six months (RRP $35), follow-on or six to 12 months (RRP $35) and toddler or one to three years (RRP $30).
