Dairy-free coconut coffee launched

cor-de-coco-07Joining Australia’s new trend in cold extracted coffee is Cor de Coco.

Adam Vella, director of The Completely Coconut Company, said, “To cater for the growing demand of cold extracted coffee and dairy-free products, we have created Cor de Coco – an RTD coconut iced coffee, offering consumers the best of both worlds.”

Cor De Coco is a naturally flavoured, healthy and allergen friendly iced coffee, sourced with coconuts around the world. It is 100 per cent Arabica bean cold extracted coffee that has 30 per cent less sugar than most iced coffee brands.

Cold extracted coffee is brewed with cold water for over a 10-hour period to deliver a sweet and strong flavour without the bitterness typically found in a hot brew. In the US, this new style of coffee preparation has achieved an estimated 115 per cent growth in 2015 from prior year, reaching $7.9 million USD in retail sales.

Coconut milk consumption grew significantly in Australia in 2015, and is expected to continue with increasing interest in dairy-free products as a lifestyle choice, rather than simply an option for those with allergies and intolerances.

Cor de Coco is available in three flavours – coconut double shot espresso, coconut mochacinno and coconut vanilla latte.
