Sandhurst Fine Foods partners with Festival of Nonna

Festival of Nonna_AV_2Grandmothers will be put in the spotlight as Sandhurst Fine Foods partners with Sydney celebrity chefs and their grandmas during the Festival of Nonna.

Launching today through to the 27 November at Redfern’s 107 Projects, diners will help celebrate Italian heritage, flavours and workshops teaching all the best customs from the boot-shaped country.

Celebrity chef Andrew Cibej, renowned for his work at Sydney’s favourite restaurants Vini, Berta and 121BC, will cook side by side with Nonna Cibej at a pop up, rooftop garden restaurant.

“It’s exciting to be partnering with Australian, family-run brand Sandhurst – and my own family – for the Festival of Nonna. The event celebrates all those things that inspired me to become a chef in the first place: Italian traditions, great food and the incredible Nonna knowledge that’s passed down from generation to generation,” said Cibej.

Natalie Holbrook of Sandhurst Fine Foods said, “We’re a company built on family and tradition so we understand how both of these shape who we are and how we enjoy food.

“The Festival of Nonna gives us all a chance to appreciate the people who first inspired many of us and get closer to the tastes that make Sandhurst products so popular.”
