Continental has unveiled three new product ranges, including Naturally Tasty Recipe base, Authentic Multi-Dish Gourmet Pastes and Pasta & Sauce Snack Packs.
The new Naturally Tasty range contains herbs, spices and vegetable pieces, making it easier to cook at home.
“At Continental, we’ve always prided ourselves on the quality of what we produce, from sourcing the best quality ingredients to putting passionate and talented chefs in our kitchens. We bring this same passion for quality to our quest for sustainability, because we believe that real sustainably grown ingredients simply taste better,” Cristy Riddell, marketing director foods, Unilever.
Continental hopes the new clean label products will provide transparency to consumers and provide reassurance to feel good about the flavour in their food. The range offers all the convenience and reliability of a recipe base.
“Our big ambition is to ensure all of our agricultural produce is sustainably sourced by 2020. Today already 86 per cent of our vegetables, herbs and spices are sustainably sourced for our Continental products. We believe consumers can taste the difference,” said Riddell.
There are four new recipe bases in the Naturally Tasty range; Beef Stew, Chilli Con Carne, Chicken Curry and Spaghetti Bolognese.
Continental’s Multi-Dish Gourmet Pastes are a versatile new range of cooking pastes. The range consists of Thai, Italian, Indian and Spanish flavours – consumers can recreate many authentic dishes with one jar. The pastes are encased in 210g glass jars in a unique box with four different meal ideas on every box.
Pasta and Sauce Snack Pack range is now in snackable sizes, including Bacon Carbonara, Alfredo, Macaroni Cheese and Chicken Curry. The new microwavable range is ready in under six minutes, simply add milk and water. The product range is 100 per cent sustainably sourced Australian wheat, without artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and MSG.
Naturally Tasty range sells at RRP $2.40; Continental Gourmet Multi-Dish Pastes sells at RRP $5.00. Both are available in Coles and IGA stores nationally. The Pasta & Sauce Snack Pack range sells at RRP $5.00 and are available in four packs from Coles, Woolworths and IGA nationally.
