Coles, My Kitchen Rules create limited edition Hazelnut Choc gelato

Coles gelato MKRSupermarket giant Coles has unveiled today Australians can scoop up the Limited Edition Hazelnut Choc gelato created by My Kitchen Rules’ (MKR) NSW team Josh & Nic available at their supermarkets nationally.

Coles said in a statement, featured on last night’s episode of MKR, Josh & Nic won the coveted prize of having their recipe
turned into a product to be featured on Coles shelves.

Coles director of Grocery and Health, Beauty and Lifestyle, George Dymond, said Coles has partnered with MKR for nine years to supply the ingredients used by the teams on the show.

“We’re really delighted to supply great quality ingredients for the teams to use but also to bring one of their recipes to life for our customers to try. Our Coles ice creams are produced in New South Wales by Norco Dairy Co-operative, so it’s great to be able to work with them on another product we hope our customers will love,” he said.

Sweet tooths around Australia are in for a treat as this indulgent hazelnut chocolate gelato is Australian made in New South Wales with pure cream and is packed full of flavour. Norco Foods general manager, Andrew Burns, said while customers demand has increased each year for the products, the frozen desserts have also picked up multiple awards for innovation, value and taste.

“We’re constantly reviewing ice cream and confectionery trends around the world to help create new and exciting flavours with the team at Coles for customers around Australia. We’re delighted that Australians are enjoying the many Coles Brand ice creams we produce. It’s fantastic to work alongside Coles and Channel Seven to develop what we’re sure will be another customer favourite,” he said.

Coles and Norco have worked together for more than eight years to bring customers new and innovative ice cream flavours. Shoppers are encouraged to get in quick as last year’s winning sauce created by Valerie and Courtney was devoured within a day.
