Byron Bay Cookies supporting suicide prevention

Byron Bay Cookies R U OkThe Byron Bay Cookie Company has relaunched its Milk Choc Chunk cookie to help raise funds and support suicide prevention awareness for Australian charity organisation, R U OK?

“Byron Bay Cookie Company are pleased to be supporting such a meaningful cause, and we would encourage all of our cookie lovers to reach out to their loved ones and work mates and start a conversation with four simple letters: R U OK? This could be as simple as sitting down over a cup of tea or coffee and sharing a cookie,” Emilie Emond, marketing manager for the Byron Bay Cookie Company said.

For a minimum of 5 cents for very R U OK? Cookie sold will be donated to the charity group to support Aussies. The charity group centres on suicide prevention as it supports and empowers people to connect with each other as they go through different roadblocks in life. The R U OK? Day event will be held on 13 September.

“Byron Bay Cookies are well known for baking a quality product. So sitting down with a cuppa and a cookie is a great opportunity for people to start a quality conversation,” CEO of R U OK? Brendan Maher said.

The new limited edition Byron Bay Cookies R U OK? Cookie is sold at RRP A$36 per box of 12 individually wrapped cookies at selected cafes, independent retailers and via www.ruok.org.au or www.cookie.com.au.
