Paradise Beverages launches female leadership initiative

Paradise Beverages 2Paradise Beverages has launched a new female leadership initiative in collaboration with Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji.

Sisterhood Fiji will emphasise the company’s commitment to nurture a culture of authentic and inclusive leadership. The initiative was launched at a one-day forum at the Fiji Brewery last week. Business leaders spoke about their experiences in the industry and on their career journey.

It aims to unite women from both businesses to provide leadership development opportunities and a professional network to help them achieve their full potential. Sisterhood Fiji’s vision aligns with that of the businesses, to help create moments of happiness and possibilities and be recognised as the region’s premier places to work.

“It was wonderful for Amatil women to all get together and begin the journey of empowerment, learning, trusting and respecting each other. Participants built on their networking skills, shared best practice and the importance of being mentors for each other. We also explored the synergies between our businesses, and found new ways and opportunities to collaborate and share ideas, both internally and externally,” Paradise Beverages general manager of Marketing Rowena Taito.

The speakers emphasised the need to empower each other and break the perceived glass ceiling.

“I am very happy with what I have learned here, the leadership series was essentially listening about the life lessons learned by these seasoned panelists and how we, as women, can contribute and empower each other,” said Coca-Cola Amatil commercial manager Monal Singh.

Paradise Beverages HR business partner Max Wahid said the forum helped bring women from both businesses together and be a voice for each other, which reflected the Sisterhood Fiji goal.

“Inclusion also means taking a small step in the right direction, first within your business and that is what we set out to achieve by bringing this initiative to life,” said Wahid.
