Kraft Heinz amps up talent drive with new HR chief
Food and beverage company Kraft Heinz is bolstering its drive for talent in Australia with the appointment of Joanne Chin as chief people officer.
Chin joins the executive leadership team as the business amps up innovation and expansion both globally and locally. In her new role she will be responsible for developing strong leaders, managing current talent, as well as attracting new talent.
With 15 years’ experience in HR management and leadership and a “passion for business transformation, people, culture and innovative workplaces”, Chin will strengthen the local executive leadership team to continue the company’s innovation and growth.
Commenting on her recent appointment, Chin said she was “thrilled” to join the team at Kraft Heinz Australia and hopes to impart the knowledge she has gained from working in various roles around the world including recent roles at Google.
“While one of the largest food and beverage companies in the world, the business here in Australia is very agile and operates with a large amount of local autonomy,” Chin said. “Kraft Heinz is known for taking great pride in hand picking outstanding talent and bringing them into the business, as well as nurturing its people with exciting opportunities.”

Kraft Heinz is the fifth largest food and beverage company in the world. The Australian division employs more than 900 people and works closely with Australian universities to on-board and train high achieving graduates, many of whom have progressed into permanent positions. and soon after achieved promotions into more senior roles.
