Food Revolution secures China juice order

FruitFarm juiceFood Revolution Group (FOD) has shipped its first container of orange juice to China as it works towards securing further deals to expand its presence in the Chinese market.

On Wednesday the company announced that it had secured purchase orders for pulp and pulp-free Fruit Farm Orange Juice from strategic partner Careline and JJ Global Fine Foods, bringing FOD brands into the domestic Chinese market.

The health drink company secured an agreement with Careline last year to distribute its products in China.

Founder of Careline, Dr Norman Li, is a major shareholder and chairman at Food Revolution Group, and aims to grow the company’s sales to $500 million within five years.

The company plans to distribute Food Revolution Group’s juice throughout China thanks to its 10,000-strong daigou surrogate shopper network.

FOD is awaiting inspection and quarantine approval on a number of other products it plans to sell in physical stores in China.
