The north east NSW town of Tamworth was at the centre of celebrations for National Tim Tam Day on Saturday, with locals taking part in a day full of activities to honour the much-loved biscuit.
Arnott’s renamed the city ‘Tim Tamworth’ for the day and the event opened with a ceremonial Tim Tam Slam to welcome residents to their ‘new’ town.
“For us, National Tim Tam Day is all about celebrating the people who have helped make Tim Tam Australia’s favourite chocolate biscuit, said Matt Grant, Arnott’s marketing manager for Tim Tam.
Tamworth was decked out in Arnott’s signature red signage for the day long celebrations, games and Tim Tam Slams.
Locals are also had the opportunity to try Arnott’s new range, Tim Tam Slams, which hit shelves earlier this month.
The new range of Tim Tam Slams comes in three flavours; Choc Malt & Sticky Caramel, Choc Hazelnut & Gooey Caramel and Dark Choc & Sticky Raspberry.
