Poll: What’s your take on collectables campaigns?

Coles Fresh StikeezIn recent months Australian supermarkets have been targeting parents with a flurry of collectables campaigns for little ones.

Last year, Little Shop proved to be a hit with consumers and helped Coles drive more sales.

Woolworths took note and today the supermarket kicks off a Disney-themed collectables campaign which is set to rival Coles’ latest healthy eating campaign Stikeez.

‘Disney Words by Woolworths’ is a word play game featuring much-loved characters such as Cinderella, Mickey Mouse and Buzz Lightyear.

Similarly to other collectables campaigns of late, customers can collect a new piece with every $30 spent in-store and online.

Previous campaigns have come under criticism for creating unnecessary plastic waste, but Woolworths latest collectables are recyclable.

Today we’re asking what you think about these campaigns? Are they a good way of getting shoppers through the doors? As always, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
