Harvest Snaps creates new black bean crisps

Black Bean RangeAustralian snack brand Harvest Snaps has launched a new range of baked crisps to the market with a South American twist.

The pea crisp brand, which launched in January 2017 to take on the humble potato crisp, is now using black beans as the basis of a new range.

Harvest Snaps aims to offer healthier snacking alternatives to consumers by innovating with different ingredients.

The new Black Bean Baked Crisps are said to contain more protein, fibre and less fat and sodium than regular potato chips.

“This innovative new black bean snack breaks ground again – because of their incredible taste and texture, customers are going to keep coming back for more, just like they have with Harvest Snaps Pea Crisps,” Tim Maughan, managing director of Harvest Snaps’ mother company, Calbee Australia, said.

The debut range of Black Bean Baked Crisps includes Original Salted, Sour Cream and Chives, Paprika and Chilli and Lime, all of which are available at Woolworths and Coles nationally.
