The Australian dollar has fallen slightly Monday, buying 69.84 US cents from 69.95 US cents on Friday.
Last Friday, it was reported the local currency is on track for a third straight weekly loss as speculators bet central banks of both countries could cut rates as early as next week.
The Australian dollar was down 0.5 per cent for the week on top of its hefty 1.7 per cent loss the previous one.
At 1508 AEST it was trading at 69.98 US cents after falling below the key psychological support of 70 cents
