Dettol strips back chemicals for ‘child safe’ soap range

Dettol has unveiled a new range of hand washes and shower gels with a focus on safe natural ingredients to make them suitable for children 3 years old and above.

The new Parents Approved range is free from harsh chemical residues, parabens, dyes and synthetic fragrances.

Dettol has also listed the purpose of all the ingredients on the bottles for better transparency.

“Our Parents Approved range has been crafted out of a growing trend of conscious shoppers in the beauty and personal care space with more and more seeking ingredient transparency and no harsh chemical residues. As one of the market leaders in Soaps, we at Dettol are championing ingredient transparency through our new Parents Approved range; an innovative solution that brings Australians a touch of love, with a touch of Dettol,” said Kelly Benton, category manager, Personal Care at Reckitt Benckiser.

“Backed by over 80 years’ experience helping to protect families from germs, we are thrilled to introduce the new ‘Dettol Parents Approved’ product range offering a kind way to remove germs as it’s free from harsh chemical residues, and that’s why it’s approved by over 200 Aussie parents.”

Dettol Parents Approved hand wash fragrances include Citrus, Rose and Jasmine while the shower gel comes in Citrus and Rose. The new bar soap is available in Citrus fragrance.

Dettol Parents Approved hand wash products kill 99.9 per cent of germs, while the shower gel and bar soap help remove odour-causing germs. All products are dermatologically tested.
