Patties Foods’ popular pie brand Four’N Twenty has revealed Philadelphia 76er and NBA All-Star Ben Simmons as its new brand ambassador.

Simmons, who was born in Melbourne, will have his name and image appear on product packs and will support the launch of new products in Australia and the US.

“I’ve grown up eating Four’N Twenty pies and I still love them. I am thrilled to be a global brand ambassador for this iconic Australian brand. There is nothing better than a Four’N Twenty pie,” Simmons said.

Four’N Twenty will also release the the new Philly Cheesesteak Traveller in October, honouring Simmon’s Australian and American heritages.

“We’re thrilled to have Ben as the face of Four’N Twenty. He’s one of the biggest and most recognisable sports stars in the world today, and it’s an honour to have him return to his Aussie roots by showing his support for the country’s best-loved pie – the original fan food,” said Anand Surujpal, general manager of marketing and innovation at Patties Foods.

“Ben loves a Four’N Twenty pie as much as the next person. He is the perfect fit – he will teach the world how to eat the great Australian pie and help ensure the brand remains contemporary and appealing to a new generation of fans.”

The new partnership coincides with the Original Fan Food campaign with Channel Seven, which celebrates the ritual of eating a pie at sporting games, and will see the release its first TV commercial in years.

Simmons will join AFL legend and Nova 100 radio presenter Jonathan ‘Browny’ Brown, who has been a Four’N Twenty brand ambassador since 2017. Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata is also joining as a brand ambassador for the Aussie food maker.
