Allen’s unveils reduced sugar range

Sweets company Allen’s is rolling out a new range of lollies with 25 per cent less sugar.

The confectionery company said the range is free of artificial colours or sweeteners and has been designed to meet the demand of consumers looking for more natural ingredients.

The range comes in two varieties, Allen’s Grubs and Allen’s Strawbs. Grubs has a mix of five flavours from raspberry, pineapple, apricot, blackberry to lemon. While Strawbs are in berry flavour. Allen’s completed over 100 taste tests on the lollies to ensure they got it right.

“We know that Aussies are extremely passionate when it comes to their lollies, and that they only expect the best from ALLEN’S. Our number one focus has been on creating the best taste possible, with 25% less sugar and absolutely no artificial sweeteners,” said Nestlé head of marketing confectionery Joyce Tan.

The Allen’s 25% Less Sugar range is available for RRP A$2.95 in Coles, Big W and independent supermarkets nationwide.
