Patties Foods has expanded its meat-free range with the introduction of two new vegetarian snacks.
Vegetarian Bites and Croquettes are part of the Patties Finger Foods range which already includes vegetarian quiches and Vegan Friendly Rolls.
The croquettes are made with sun dried tomato, basil and parmesan; while the bites are in jalapeno, cheese and corn flavour, as well as broccoli and cheese.
“The demand for vegetarian food is rising, and we are happy to provide variety for Australians with these new finger foods,” said Anand Surujpal, general manager of marketing and innovation at Patties Food.
“We want to reflect the changing face of Australia with our quick and easy entertainment options to ensure that everyone at your party is catered for.”
Patties Foods research shows that almost 9.9 million Aussie adults (53.4 per cent) are eating less red meat.
The new vegetarian snacks are sold in Woolworths and local independent supermarket.
