The Aussie dollar is up on Friday against the greenback. One Australian dollar was buying 66.20 US cents at 0800 AEST, up from 66.13 US cents at the close of trade on Thursday.
One AUD buys 71.42 Japanese yen; 59.92 euro cents; 53.87 British pence; and 106.84 NZ cents.
