HealthCheckYou: A new solution that focuses on staff wellbeing whilst helping businesses navigate the COVID-19 employee return to work

HealthCheckYou is a new digital product that helps organisations keep a pulse on their teams wellbeing.  Designed to provide the opportunity to get real time feedback from a workforce allowing senior management to have the relevant metrics at their fingertips.

HealthCheckYou covers physical health, mental health and a feature to assess potential symptoms of COVID-19. This is particularly important as businesses prepare for staff to return to the workplace; there is significant risk of employee’s displaying potential COVID-19 symptoms and a workplace transmission occurring.  HealthCheckYou focuses on providing a solution for businesses to proactively monitor their people and any potential symptoms flagged before arriving at work.

Founded by Chris Allen, Bradley Delamare, Charline Siccardi & Paul Eastwood, the entrepreneurial team bring a mix of industry, technology & change management experience. Together they recognised a need for businesses to offer a platform to share employees voice and improve wellbeing in the workplace.

Co-founder Bradley Delamare says: “HealthCheckYou offers a solution to support businesses to take preventive measures to control any potential outbreaks of COVID-19 in the workplace, whilst also promoting a practical approach to improving employee engagement at a time when connectivity of businesses with its people feels harder than ever. We see this as one of several solutions including the Governments contact tracing digital solution, to be applied by businesses to help address COVID-19 risks”

The digital product is a simple to use tool with clever analytics & intelligent workflows doing the hard work. It requires employees to complete structured questions, letting their direct report know whether they will be attending work and highlighting any potential symptoms.

The workflows follow the most up to date health advice and supports decision makers instead of merely presenting information. For example; an employee may signal their intention to attend work but could be displaying several potential symptoms of COVID-19. The product will recommend the employee doesn’t attend work and provide an option to discuss with their direct report. This data is also received and highlighted through a dashboard allowing trends and analysis by management.

Each employee is designated a specific work area, division or site (at the discretion of each business). The benefit being that in the event of an increase in COVID-19 risk, or an on-site outbreak, any scattergun or blanket attempts to bring the business back under control can be avoided. Instead, the business can take a proactive response, focusing on the employee work area, division or site, dramatically minimising the impact to operational performance.

Over the last few months it has become clear that working patterns have changed, meaning that how businesses engage their teams and remain connected must also evolve.

HealthCheckYou has worked with mental health specialists, to develop a mental wellness solution to offer a voice for employees to communicate how they are really feeling. Starting an honest conversation allows businesses to action any trends and improve wellness in the workplace.

CEO and co-founder Chris Allen states “We’ve heard before that necessity is the mother of invention. This pandemic may prove to be the catalyst that businesses need to place mental wellbeing & workplace engagement higher up the list of priorities and we believe we have developed a solution that can support that journey for all businesses, regardless of industries”.

COO Charline Siccardi adds “We are excited to see the tool go live in a variety of businesses from offices, factories, hospitality venues and not-for-profit organisations. Since launching we have developed the app in different languages and seen rapid growth across the globe, with teams set up in Mexico, USA, New Zealand and Australia.”

The app is available now on the app store and google play.
