Spanish tiger-nut liqueur Licor 43 Horchata targets vegans

Spanish liquor company Zamora has launched a plant-based option for vegans called Licor 43 Horchata, now on sale in Australia.

Described as “a vegan version of Baileys,” the drink incorporates a classic Mediterranean flavour and the Valencian-grown tiger nut. The creamy liquor is dairy-free and gluten-free, and features a marketing tagline “Did I mention I’m vegan?”.

“With Licor 43 Horchata we wanted a delicious product in the cream liqueur category that also meets the growing consumer demand for lighter and non-dairy alternatives,” said Julian Fernandez, a global marketing and innovation director for spirits at Zamora Company.

Licor 43 Horchata is available at Dan Murphy’s, Booze Bud, Tipple and selected independent retailers at $39.99.
