Singapore-headquartered digital-first telco Circles.Life has signed a distribution partnership with Woolworths Group, its first retail channel in Australia.

Launched in Australia in September last year, Circles.Life operates predominantly online, describing itself as the world’s first fully digital telco. It uses a cloud-based business model to automate telco systems, claiming to reduce operating costs by 95 per cent, offering voice, data and roaming services that can be managed through an app.

Under the Woolworths partnership the telco’s customers can purchase and activate their SIM cards in stores, rather than wait for them to be delivered.

“Circles.Life has always been about creating opportunity for customers,” said Antony Sault, Head of Commercial at the company. “While customers currently have the benefit of receiving their SIM card delivered to their doorstep, they will now be able to drop it in their shopping cart on their next grocery run,” he said.

The company offers consumers telco services that do not lock them into contracts and includes protection from “3G bill shocks”.
