Mayver’s adds probiotics to nut spreads

Spread maker Mayver’s has added probiotics and Omega-3 to Super Peanut Butters and Tree Nut Butters range.

Mayver’s owner Paul Raff said the new range adds more nutrients into adults and children’s diets.

Peanuts contain plant-based Omega-3 and Mayver’s Super Omega-3 Peanut Butter added flaxseed (ALA), premium organic MCT oil and an algae-based Omega-3 (DHA) to the spread.

“For children or adults who don’t enjoy eating fish or swallowing tablets but love peanut butter, Mayver’s Omega-3 Super Peanut Butter is a tastier way to get an extra dose of goodness into your diet,” Raff said.

“One hundred per cent plant powered, our Probiotic Super Peanut Butter contains both probiotics and prebiotics and is mixed with the taste of Mayver’s Peanut Butter, to help your body optimise its gut and immune health.”

Mayver’s ambassador, Sam Wood, said eating nutritious foods helps fight nasty bugs, helps with muscle recovery and gives energy the body needs every day. He said having an unhealthy stomach can cause havoc to the digestive system so having an optimum gut health is important.

“Similarly making sure your diet includes foods that contain Omega-3 is beneficial to cardiovascular health and may assist in lowering the heart rate, reducing the risk of clotting and decreasing blood pressure,” he added.

The food maker also created Mayver’s Dark Roast Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter, Hazelnut Cashew and Cacao Butter and Mayver’s Smunchy Almond Butter.
