Barilla creates Spotify playlists to help consumers cook pasta

Italian pasta producer Barilla has launched Spotify playlists to help people ensure their pasta perfectly cooked. 

Featured in Designboom, the campaign, named “Playlist Timer”, features a series of eight collections, ranging from nine to 11 minutes. Based on the durations of the playlists, people can estimate the cooking time of most pasta shapes. Playlist Timer, created by agency Publicis Italy, features different genres of music, including pop, indie and hits covered by Italian artists.

“Playlist Timer is a series of playlists whose durations correspond to the cooking time of Barilla’s most loved pasta shapes,” Publicis Italy told Designboom. 

“An actual kitchen timer on Spotify which turns the waiting into a chance to listen to good music, entertain yourself and discover the covers of the playlists, illustrated by eight Italian artists of international calibre.”
