Bepanthen launches ointment purpose-made for fresh tattoos

Medicated skincare brand Bepanthen has rolled out Tattoo Aftercare Ointment for people to apply to fresh tattoos.

The new product does not contain any colourants, fragrances or preservatives and has been dermatologically tested on tattooed skin.

Bepanthen says its formula Pro-vitamin B5 (Dexpanthenol 50 mg/g) ingredient creates a waterproof and breathable protective layer, giving the skin a good moisture level; helping it to regenerate from within and stabilising the skin’s natural barrier.

The tattoo ointment also creates a protective layer against excessive rubbing on clothing, allowing the skin to heal properly. It can be used for a line tattoo, a detailed sleeve or cosmetic tattooing.

Bepanthen Tattoo Aftercare Ointment comes in a 50g tube with a flip-top lid.

The ointment (50g) is sold for RRP $7.99 in local pharmacies and Coles Supermarkets.
