The Scorpion Strike on Steroids: Australia’s hottest chilli sauce?

Chilli sauce maker The Chilli Factory has created the new hot BBQ sauce, The Scorpion Strike on Steroids, using Trinidad Scorpion chillies.

The variety holds the record as the world’s hottest chilli recognised by the Guinness World Record for almost three years: and the company claims it is Australia’s hottest chilli sauce.

The Chilli Factory said the new chilli is at 2.25 million Scoville heat units, which is almost 1 million Scoville hotter than the original Scorpion Strike. The Scorpion Strike on Steroids uses chillies harvested by independent farmers from the Central Coast, New South Wales and Far North Queensland.

“The Scorpion Strike on Steroids is best used sparingly and is certainly not meant for the faint hearted,” said Daniel Morgan, director at The Chilli Factory.

“It is perfect for adding to marinades or stir-fries, brushing over barbequed meats or sprinkling on a burger.”

The Chilli Factory chilli products do not contain artificial colours, flavours, preservatives and MSG. The Scorpion Strike on Steroids is also for vegan and those who have gluten-free diets.

The Scorpion Strike on Steroids is sold for RRP $28 per 150ml can in independent supermarkets, BBQ Galore, Growers Markers and Fine Food Markets.
