Little Bang Brewery launches hard seltzer range

Australia’s Little Bang Brewery has introduced a new low-calorie alcoholic soft drink – SeltzeR.

After many trials, the hard seltzer range is launched with four flavours – mango and passionfruit, green apple, concord grape and lychee. The range contains approximately 4 per cent alcohol.

Featuring a light and fresh taste, the company says that its seltzers are brewed to be bursting with flavour and aroma. They are not heavy, not too sweet and suitable for those who like to drink low-alcohol and fruit-flavoured drinks.

Little Bang Brewery was created by Ryan Davidson and Filip Kemp, who were co-workers in a game studio and home-brewed as a hobby. They started their business in a garage in 2013 and after 18 months, they got approval to launch their brand officially.

“The idea was this: We’d brew on the weekends. We’d make some silly stuff that no one else was really doing, like a Barleywine, a Saison, a Steam Ale,” said the two founders. “We’d throw it out there and we’d have a laugh, hopefully confuse people and raise a few eyebrows. We didn’t need to take it seriously, it was just a hobby.”

The hard seltzer range can be found in four- or 12-packs of 375ml cans.
