Melrose Group names new CEO

Australian-owned health food company, Melrose Group, has appointed Nathan Cheong as its new CEO.

In his new role, Cheong will oversee the operations of Melrose Health along with Orchard Wellbeing Foods, which owns the Nu-Lax brands. He has more than 20 years of experience in the complementary medicines industry as a naturopath and medical herbalist.

“Nathan’s deep understanding of the VMS industry and science-led innovation will be key to driving the company’s growth and expansion strategies,” said Angus Douglass, executive director of Melrose Group.

“No one is better placed than Nathan to understand the needs of our consumers and capitalise on our unique brand heritage and manufacturing platform.”

Prior to Melrose Group, Cheong held several positions in Australian and US based organisations, such as Vita Life Sciences, Blackmores BioCeuticals, Designs for Health. He was most recently CEO at LifeSpace Group.

“The board shares my charitable aspirations and the importance of organisations leaving a legacy beyond the impact of the brands alone and I cannot wait to expand this area of the business further,” said Cheong.
