Plant-based Kid-Pow Shake from Funch targets kids

Plant-based company Funch has added its new product – Kid-Pow Shake – to the nutrient range for kids on the Australian market.

The range features three flavours – vanilla, caramel and chocolate – and is gluten-free and zero-sugar. According to the company, the new shake can provide kids with 50 per cent of the recommended daily calcium intake and 10gm of protein per serve. The product also contains probiotics, which can help children have healthy tummies, vitamin C and D, as well as iron.

Aiming to help busy parents offer convenient, yet nutritious, breakfast or afternoon snacks to children, Funch offers a ready-to-drink milkshake by adding milk or water, then shaking it and drinking as a smoothie.

“So often us parents are wondering what the perfect snack is; something the kids will actually eat or drink, that tastes good whilst being nutritious,” said Lisa Bourne, founder of Funch. “Protein is such a vital nutrient for our kids’ health and wellbeing, and given Funch’s background in providing simple and healthy snacks – Kid-Pow Shakes felt like an obvious next step.”

“Our Kid-Pow shake is made in literally minutes and by adding some fruit and your choice of milk, your kids can get a nutritious and filling start to their day or that energy boost they need before sport – they can even take it in the car with them,” she added.

The new product range is formulated for kids aged from 4 to 14 and is sold on the company’s website with an RRP of $29.99 per box of 240 grams.
