California’s Truff expands hot sauce range into gourmet pasta sauce

(Source: supplied )

Hot sauce maker Truff is expanding its categories in Australia with the launch of a new pasta sauce.

The range contains two variants – Pomodoro and Arrabiata – and is made from ripe tomatoes, herbs, black truffle and red chilli peppers. According to Truff, both flavours are spicy, but Pomodoro sports a longer lasting spice.

The pasta sauces are vegan, free from gluten and non-GMO friendly.

Founded in the US, Truff is becoming one of the growing companies in the local sauce market: aiming to bring new ingredients and recipes, as well as more cooking experiences, to its customers.

“It’s a truly delicious evolution of the existing hot sauce range, and we’re super excited to provide the same challenger mentality to the pasta aisle,” said Steve Pirone, co-director of Truff Australia and New Zealand.

“Pasta sauce might be new to Truff here in Australia, but we can assure you we’ve taken the same creative approach to fashioning a product we know our audience will love.”

Consumers can use the hot sauces for pizza, fettuccine or eggplant parmi. Both Truff’s new products are available at David Jones, select grocers, select butchers, and specialty food stores across the country or via the company’s website with an RRP of $54.95 for each.
