PepsiCo has appointed Kyle Faulconer as its new CEO for Australia and New Zealand, effective January.

A US native, Faulconer will relocate to Sydney to take up the role. He is currently VP and GM at PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay snacks business and is responsible for leading what the company describes as the “strategic agenda” for Walmart, one of its largest global customers.

Danny Celoni, the current CEO of PepsiCo’s Australia, NZ & South Pacific business, departs the company soon to head up Carlton & United Breweries.

Wern-Yuen Tan of PepsiCo says Faulconer will bring deep customer experience, a strong track record of driving long-term growth in competitive markets and a people-first leadership to the Australasian team.

The newcomer has been with the US-headquartered company for 14 years during which his roles have spanned field operations, strategic account leadership and direct-to-consumer sales strategy.

“I’m thrilled to join the world-class team and help the PepsiCo business continue to grow across Australia and New Zealand,” he said.

“I look forward to creating new opportunities to accelerate our positive, purpose-led impact for our partners, customers and consumers.”
