Nuffin launches dips in compostable packaging

(Source: supplied )

Victoria-based brand Nuffin has launched a new range of dips, packaged in fully compostable paper tubs.

The range features four variants: Hommus, Tzatziki, Chive & Onion and Fetta and Cracked Pepper.

Launched by Castlemaine Kitchen, the brand said it targets to reduce 25 tonnes of plastic per year from Australian supermarket dip fridges, most of which end up in landfills or in waterways.

Haydn Scott, Castlemaine Kitchen founder, said the company has undertaken much testing to guarantee the durability of the packaging before it debuts on shelves.

“A sustainable packaging format along with a high quality healthier dip option with no added preservative added was a clear market gap,” said Scott. “We have been working on this concept for 12 months now with many months of testing to ensure packaging durability”.

The Nuffin dips range can be purchased in Woolworths Supermarkets and Metro stores from next month.
