Meal kit delivery service HelloFresh has launched a range of healthy summer recipes to help improve eating and cooking habits of Australians.

All of the meals are dietitian-approved and include plant-based, carb and calorie smart options as well. The new recipes use lean meats, whole grains, plenty of vegetables with less saturated fat and sodium.

A report on global food trends and Innovations by HelloFresh found that nearly 46 per cent of Australians want to change their eating and cooking habits this year while 31 per cent want to include more vegetables in their meals.

For plant-based meals, HelloFresh has introduced plant-based cheeses and sauces. Customers will soon be able to order an entire box of plant-based meals, with three recipes to choose from each week, starting February 20.

Hannah Gilbert, director of culinary innovation & operations at HelloFresh, said the brand is always creating new menu options to cater to customers’ eating habits and feedback.

“As we settle into a new year, there’s no better time to refresh our menu and offer an easy way to prepare delicious, balanced meals to suit any lifestyle,” she said.

“With our summer nutritious menu and a range of customisable options, our goal is to make it as easy as possible to eat well this summer, while also helping Aussies connect with friends and family over fresh, nutritious meals.”
