National Pies appoints new ambassador, new flavour underway

Tasmanian pie brand National Pies has expanded out of its home state launching a partnership with footballer Jack Riewoldt.

The Richmond premiership player will represent the brand across several initiatives in the coming months and will collaborate with the brand on a new pie flavour which will be available at Bunnings cafes from March.

“Like every Tassie resident, I grew up eating National Pies – whether it be from the school tuckshop, or straight from the oven at home,” said Riewoldt.

“I’ve got so many great memories from my childhood that involve National Pies, and I hope to share these memories with the rest of Australia during my ambassadorship,” he added.

National Pies CEO, Geraldine Tebbutt welcomed Riewoldt to the team and added that food and pies are synonymous with the Australian sporting experience.

“Jack’s emphasis on community and family aligns perfectly with National Pies, and these are values we held dear since the brand was established in 1942,” she said.

The pies can be found in Woolworths stores across Victoria and Queensland, and nationally at Costco and Bunnings cafes.
