Coopers Brewery celebrates 160th year with new red ale

Australian brewery Coopers has released a new Australian-style red ale to mark the brand’s 160th year anniversary.

The limited-edition Cooper’s Regency Park red ale has a 5.5 per cent ABV and a bitter level of 40 IBU. It is brewed from a selection of all-Australian hops including Eclipse and Melba and contains drum roasted caramel malts that create a vivid red hue to the drink.

MD and chief brewer, Dr Tim Cooper said the red ale was the ‘perfect addition’ to the brand’s portfolio in this milestone year.

“Coopers has been crafting traditional ales since 1862 when Thomas Cooper began brewing with the exclusive use of malts and hops in his brews.”

The product will be available in kegs and 375ml cans from late March.
