Nominees for natural health entrepreneur awards revealed

The entrepreneurs behind Australia’s most innovative natural health businesses have been revealed as nominees for the inaugural Naturally Good 2022 Awards. The winners of the various award categories will be announced at a cocktail night on Friday 3 June at Sydney’s ICC before the 2022 Naturally Good Expo that takes place at the same venue on 6 and 7 June.

Sinead Kavanagh, Product Manager for Naturally Good, said that the awards’ team have been delighted by the number of entries.

“For a first-time award competition the calibre was really high,” Kavanagh said. “Everything from the ingredients, manufacturing, packaging, brand story and thought behind each product was so put together. It’s really impressive considering naturals is a niche area of the industry.”

The nominees were selected from all the entries by a panel of judges including Julie Mathers from Flora and Fauna, Nicci Herrera Strategic Advisor at Retail Beauty, Niki Ford CEO of Australian Organic Limited, Shelley McMillan Head of Consulting for Mintel, Rod Arenas from Food Innovation Australia Limited, and Naturally Good’s Content Manager Lisa Crawford Jones.

Start-up Elato Artisinal Icecreams has gained nominations in three separate categories, namely Best Food Product, Best Free From Product, and Best Socially Conscious Brand – the latter on the basis that the businesses commits 50 per cent of all its profits to OzHarvest to help the move to eradicate hunger and food waste around the world.

“We’re so thrilled to be a triple nominee and are really looking forward to being first time exhibitors at the expo as we’re really eager to tell everyone about the brand and share our messages,” Rob Klein, Head of Marketing at Elato, said.
